Bookings

Bookings for our environmental education centre can be made online using this  BOOKING LINK

It is preferable that schools coordinate the number of excursion days required by all staff for the year and that a stage coordinator completes the form for each stage's excursion and distributes the information to other teachers attending. Please nominate a time frame rather than specific dates as we have many schools to fit into our calendar. For 2024 we are asking that schools complete the booking form by the end of Week 3, Term 1.

From the start of Term 2 2024, Rumbalara EEC will be implementing a price increase for our field work due to budget changes and an increase in staff wages.

The new price is $10/student for all off-site excursions. The price for the in-school I-Pad documentary and the Bright Sparks program is $7/student. The price of all other in-school incursions is $5/student.

This provides your school with 2 Rumbalara EEC staff for up to 60 students.

If you require more staff due to larger groups we can provide an extra teacher at the standard rate of $656 per day. REEC will consider a price reduction for schools who are unable to meet costs and submit reasons for difficulties.

Kayaking options incur additional charges.

Please note that the Rumbalara Environmental Education Centre services are only available to public schools as the centre is entirely funded by the Department of Education. We are always happy to assist private schools with ideas and suggestions for fieldwork. The Marine Discovery Centre at Terrigal can provide a similar service to private schools and specialise in marine and catchment education.
