About this excursion

Join us for an engaging and inclusive educational excursion at Kincumba Mountain where students will experience the natural beauty of the bush.

Students will explore with their senses and have immersive, hands-on experiences.

After consultation with your school staff, activities provided will be chosen based on your students’ needs and adapted as necessary so all students can be involved.

Learning Experiences

Habitat Creation
Students will be provided with a selection of small Australian toy animals. Using the resources they find around the area like sticks, leaves, stones, students will create a home for their animals
Nature Art
Students will use the leaves and other nature items they find to create an artwork that they can take home with them. Activity may include crayons, glue, and natural resources.
Forest Discovery Walk

The bushwalk provides the students with an opportunity to explore Kincumba Mountain at a leisurely pace suited to them. They will be able to use their senses in fun activities that will allow them to observe the features of a forest and the needs of plants and animals. Activities may include magnifiers, scavenger hunts, books or binoculars.

The day may also include a mindfulness activity.
