Stage 6 Geography - Earth’s Natural Systems, Rumbalara EEC
Students will explore Rumbalara’s diverse landscapes and distinctive physical features. They will investigate the threats and effects of bushfires as a way to understand Earth’s natural systems including processes, cycles and circulations connecting natural systems.
Stage 6 Geography - Ecosystem & Global Biodiversity, Porters Creek Wetland
At Porters Creek Wetland students will study the management and impacts of stormwater runoff from a rapidly expanding urban area.
Stage 6 Geography - Ecosystem & Global Biodiversity, Avoca Lagoon
At Avoca Lagoon students will investigate the endangered Green and Gold Bell Frog, urban impacts on water quality, and conduct a kayak based survey of impacts and endangered ecological communities.
Stage 6 Investigating Science - Cause and Effect (Microplastics)
This program will focus on microplastics at Terrigal Lagoon. It includes a practical investigation that will collect a range of qualitative and quantitative primary data on the impact of microplastics on our coastal lagoons.
