Rumbalara Environmental Education Centre
Offers waste audits, curriculum support for waste management, and a registered Sustainability Education Cross Curriculum Course (RG00451) with a case study on waste education.
Co-ordinators for Wiping out Waste – a Program to support schools who are commited to reducing waste to landfill and increasing resource recovery. It is funded by Central Coast Council and includes a waste audit, professional development session and resources to support the School's Wiping out Waste team develop and implement a WOW Action Plan.

Cleanaway currently provides waste collection services for more than 15,000 commercial customers. Free education programs on what can be recycled and how waste is collected are available at your school or at the Cleanaway Material Recovery Facility at Somersby.

Kariong Eco Garden is a place where people can learn about caring for the earth by providing habitat for wildlife, harvesting rainwater, using renewable energy, recycling organic matter and growing food, naturally. Take 3
The Take 3 education program aims to excite students to become marine advocates at their campus and within their local area. Students will examine their own behaviour in terms of single-use plastic consumption and connect litter in the environment with the effects on marine and other wildlife.

Local Land Services (LLS) delivers services to farmers, landholders and the community across rural and regional New South Wales.
Some grants are available for schools if there is an agriculture focus. This could tie in with composting systems.

Recycling services available for schools
Government contract – public schools
All schools are eligible for recycling services from Cleanaway and other private contractors under the 9698 contract. The rates are posted on the NSW Procure Point website.

Councils recycling service
Schools are able to use the council's recycling services. Charged via the rates system under the Business Waste Category. To organise, schools need to fill out the appropriate commercial waste services request form on our website Cleanaway. The Principal needs to sign the form to accept that charges will be added to a Rates Account and a Rates Notice will be issued to the school.
